MUSICAL THEATRE CLASS IN SINGAPORE FOR KIDS

This musical theatre class is a performance-based programme in Singapore that guides students to learn the craft of acting through song. Through solo and group work, students learn how to use music, singing and movement for storytelling and theatrical expression. The class syllabus includes singing technique, acting, movement and knowledge of the musical with analysis of script for subtext, characterisation, situation and conflicts. The students will also learn theatre vocabulary with stage directions to present the performance of the piece.

Deliverables

At the end of their classes, students will receive a Musical Theatre Graded Certification from TRINITY COLLEGE, an international independent exam and assessment board for the performing arts. This certification affirms students’ ability in foundational and advanced storytelling, performance and other non-technical skills, which are transferable to the school and workplace, whether in Singapore or overseas. At an Advance level, the Certification is also eligible for UCAS points that can be used for university admission in the UK.

Our musical theatre curriculum covers a range of technical and non-technical skills that will support and guide students into nurturing their inner storytelling. Throughout the school term, our students sharpen their technical skills as well as hone their ability to analyze and interpret a script or text into a performance.
